| This is a custom designed wrought iron bed that I had made some time ago and have had in storage for too long as I haven't been living somewhere it could be erected. I'm keen to sell it now as I'm moving overseas for a period and would prefer not to store it any longer. This bed features: | |
| Hand beaten spikes at each end of the bed - there are serious hours put into creating each of these spikes and that is what makes it a pricey bed - Astralyte Iron in Melbourne quoted a price of $4000 a few years back when I provided them with photographs and asked what they would charge to make it. The cost now would probably be higher. |  |

Three iron rings are welded at each end of the bed
Black chains can be draped from the canopy - these come with the bed ... although I am now missing a chain to completely circumnavigate the bed

| Fleur de lys caps on each post top - the height is approx 7 to 7.5 ft to the top of the posts from memory. Queen sized slatted base - the wood slats are joined and simply roll out to sit inside the bed base Easily dismantling for ease of transport - then ends remain formed and each other part breaks down into a few long poles. Setting it up again can take a bit of fiddling to get the top rods to fit in but once it's done you're set for a long time to come. |  |

The light is similarly made of wrought iron with a mesh covered triangular cover over the globe. I'm sorry I don't have a clearer photo but with the bed in storage I don't have the capacity to photograph it at the moment. |

The bed is currently stored in Footscray, Melbourne. If someone outside of Melbourne is seriously interested in the bed I could investigate what it might cost to have it couriered to you.
